Bringing the inspiring true story of A Million Miles Away to the screen gave our team the perfect opportunity to look toward the skies. Following the incredible decades-long journey of NASA flight engineer José Hernández, from a rural village in Michoacán to the International Space Station. We were tasked with delivering seamless VFX sky environments and photoreal CGI airplanes.
Our artists meticulously crafted these high-altitude aviation shots to perfectly complement José’s story of unwavering drive, family support, and determination. By grounding the aerial visuals in reality, we helped capture the soaring ambition of a man who ultimately achieved his seemingly impossible goal.
